APPROACH

I always start with researching the area and seeing if any narratives stand out. In Bournemouth's case Lillie Langtry was it. Lillie was the OG influencer and Victorian 'It Girl' being the first woman to lend her peachy complexion to promote a product (Pears soap). She also caught the eye of Queen Victoria's son and became his mistress, who had a love nest built in Bournemouth. The venue had two floors which gave Finch and I the idea of creating two different spaces - relaxed riviera cool up top, and a party in the basement. This idea also leant itself to creating a Queen playing card (the two queens holding objects to suggest the different spaces) which features heavily in the branding. A 'fruit sticker' logo, warm peachy colour palette, distinictive typeface that ties in with the neo-classical brand elements and a tone of voice for the huns brings this brand to life.
